How to get fruit from trees from neighbors

How can I harvest a neighbor's fruit and get a piece of the fruit for my barn to use on a mission? Sometimes it gives me one,,, others not. Also if they have trees in a grove, how can you harvest one particular tree and get the fruit? Thanks for any advice.

It’s random if you get fruit or not..

As for groves you can’t select just one tree again it’s just a random drop rate of getting fruit

You can harvest a particular tree in a grove by using the Search box in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Still no guarantee that you'll actually get the fruit, but you'll have a better chance to get the one you need than if you just harvest the grove.
