Balancing grove automation with nectar collection

Postby Farmer-JP » Mon May 15, 2017 9:27 pm

Question for the more experienced farmers: I have automation turned on for my groves in order to maximize product collection. I am only able to play for a few moments before work and then about 10 hours later for a while in the evening. I'd like to have a super butterfly home to collect nectar for other frequently used products (e.g. pastry dough). But I'm guessing that with automation on the trees will be harvested before the butterflies can get to them. If I turn off automation the trees will only be harvested twice a day (and I presume the time until the next product doesn't start until after the tree is harvested). Rock and a hard have you all handled this? Just buy a second set of trees? One to harvest with automation to collect the products and a set to get nectar?

So when you leave for work do you actually leave the game open.. cause just like all other automation the groves only harvest when the game is open...

You really can't it both ways.. just put all the trees that makes pollen in one on getting a supply of pollen and then turn on automation.. that way it's easy to switch between pollination and collection
Please excuse any typos... I do 95% of my posting from my phone so small screen and auto correct can make things tricky
